Summer Poppies by John D Rhodes
I decided to get my brushes out, not done one for a while and not tried acrylics before… four hours later I’d managed this which I’m quite happy with.
Y’know, you write novels, you write poems, you PAINT… no wonder I can’t do nothin’… you received my share of the talent pool…
Nice picture, John. It’s been years since I did much painting. I used to work with oils then switched to acrylics when the smell of the oil and thinners started to really bother me. I often wish I had time to do some painting again and I commend you for making time for it. How did you like the acrylics?
I was really impressed the viscosity and feel of oils but a lot easier to wash afterwards that’s for certain lol. Now I’ve tried one I’ll be moving on to do some more.
